Fruit Logistica European Synergy

The Green Mushroom Farm booth caught the attention of every visitor with the overwhelming colors and beautiful shapes of mushrooms. In addition to the conventional white or chestnut mushrooms and the increasingly popular shiitake, there are also the less common golden enoki, pink oyster mushrooms and morels. The latter can now – after 60 years of research and testing – be grown in plastic tunnels in China. A real milestone in mushroom cultivation.

The company is run by a family from Kosovo. Soon after setting up the company, they decided to expand the range of white and brown mushrooms produced in the Netherlands and the exotics from South Korea with wild mushrooms that were richly grown in the Balkan countries. The owners pride themselves not only in the truly impressive variety of their offerings, but they also see their job as a mission. A mission to communicate to the public that mushrooms are a superfood and that what you eat affects the way you think and function.

Last year the company presented their mix of ready-to-eat mushrooms and vegetables at the fair and this year they came up with the new idea of a 1-layer box of mushrooms where the chef can immediately evaluate the quality and the customers pay for the high quality mushrooms, not just their weight.
