Spectacular scientific discovery about mushrooms.

Mushrooms often contain very beneficial ingredients and especially in the Eastern world they have been used for thousands of years.

Nu, however, a scientific study from Australia shows that when you combine certain mushrooms you have a three-stage rocket in your hands.

In Eastern science and medicine, mushrooms are a normal part of their medicine package, but fortunately Western science is also becoming more and more aware of the healing and supportive properties of mushrooms, and that certain extracts of mushrooms can give your immune system a great support .

Mushrooms are in any case packed with useful substances for the human body and support your health, but the above research has led to a remarkable conclusion, which is that a combination of certain mushroom extracts creates a synergistic effect, giving you a total effect. that is many times greater than if you were to use those mushroom extracts individually.

The result with which this was achieved is a combination of the Maitake, Reishi en Shiitake† The reason that this combination works so well is mainly due to the fact that mushrooms are rich in beta-glucans.

Glucans belong to the group of carbohydrates. They are chains of glucose and are found in the cell walls of plants. Because of the way the glucose molecules are attached to each other, our body cannot absorb these glucans. Glucans are found in grains, such as oats, and in yeasts and mushrooms.

Because it was thought that glucans would have a beneficial effect on the immune system, the idea was that the immune system would then be able to better recognize and fight tumor cells. Animal and test tube studies show varying effects of beta-glucans on cancer cell killing, although they are mostly beneficial. There are also indications from these types of studies that beta-glucans protect against getting cancer when healthy cells are exposed to carcinogens.

Some studies in humans indicate a possible beneficial effect of beta-glucans in gastric cancer. When taken in addition to chemotherapy, survival increases and quality of life improves. There are also indications that beta-glucans may reduce the size of colon tumors.

These health claims about beta-glucans and a better immune system have been rejected by the European Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (EFSA). That means that manufacturers are not allowed to use that claim because there is insufficient evidence for it.

Perhaps that will now change as a result of scientific research published on November 7th, which is not based on laboratory animals, but the human immune system.

While good results have often been achieved with beta-glucans, the research shows that this effect is enhanced by using certain mushroom extracts in combination.

The authors of the study are therefore proud to declare that this is the first scientific study that shows that certain combinations of mushrooms have a very favorable energetic effect on the immune system and yes, more studies are needed, but this one is again a step in the right direction and shows when you also start using a combination of mushrooms, your immune system will also get "a boost".
